NASA will carry out a number of spacewalks outside the International Space Station after a break of almost eight months (ISS).
IE reported that since March 23, when a small amount of water was discovered in an astronaut's helmet, spacewalks have been put on hold. On November 15, the first space walk took place, and the space agency broadcasted live coverage of the event.
The seven-hour spacewalk was broadcasted live by NASA beginning at 5:00 PM IST on November 15. On NASA Television and the NASA app, the live stream was available.
Josh Cassada and Frank Rubio, two NASA astronauts, left the International Space Station (ISS) on November 15 to build a mounting bracket on the station's truss assembly. Installing the mounting brackets will enable lar arrays to increase electrical power to the station.
Matthias Maurer, an astronaut with the European Space Agency (ESA), had some water in his helmet on March 23. The space station crew removed Mauer's helmet right away after his spacewalk and began working with the ground support team to collect information regarding the problem. NASA halted all next spacewalks and described the incident as a close call.
