A movie that is making waves, or should I say sandstorms. Denis Villeneuve has proved again, that why he is one of the most influential directors of this time. Timothee Chalamet plays the role of Paul Atreides, who's prophesied to be the Messiah of this world, the Lisan-Al Ghaib, Kwisatz Haderach known in many other names. His Mother Jessica, a Benne Gessiret teaches him in the ways of using "The voice". Rebbeca Ferguson as Lady Jessica steals the show, in every fame she eludes the brilliance of her performance, she commands the screen even in the presence of starlwarts and crowd favorites like Javier Bardem, Oscar Issac...
The movie at the end feels incomplete, Paul may be the future of House Atreides and the Benne Gessiret, he may rise to be the emperor but thats for the following movies to decide. Denis leaves the movie in little suspense but the world created by Frank Herbert has been built. Now the tales remains to be told. Villeneuve will look to make the stage sparkle again when Dune returns part 2.
