The Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In) and West Bengal Electronics Industry Development Corporation Limited (WEBEL) jointly launched a certification course on “Secure Coding Practice Framework” on September 28, 2024. The course aims to help programmers to establish a strong and robust application security baseline throughout the application development lifecycle by adopting "Security by Design" and Secure Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) approaches.

During the ceremony organized by WEBEL at their headquarters in Kolkata, Dr. Sanjay Bahl, Director General of CERT-In, along with Mr. Sanjay Kumar Das, Managing Director of WEBEL, launched the Secure Coding Practice Framework certification program for application developers.
