BLACKPINK's Lisa is still in contract negotiations, according to YG Entertainment.
YG Entertainment has issued a brief statement on the contract renewal talks for BLACKPINK's Lisa.
An unknown Chinese agency allegedly said in July that they had scheduling issues for Lisa's presence on a show since Lisa's contract renewal with YG was questionable. YG Entertainment later claimed that the problems were caused by BLACKPINK's tour and Lisa's personal activities, underlining that contract extensions were still being discussed.
Despite YG's confirmation, new rumors circulated that Lisa had gotten big contract offers from other agencies and had turned down YG Entertainment's proposition.
On September 15, YG Entertainment reiterated, “Lisa’s contract renewal is currently under discussion. There is nothing in those rumors that has been confirmed.”
BLACKPINK has been selling out shows for their "BORN PINK" globe tour in 34 locations across 24 countries for the past 11 months. The big finale, dubbed "BORN PINK Finale in Seoul," is set for September 16 and 17 at Gocheok Sky Dome, Korea's largest indoor musical arena with a capacity of 20,000 people. Notably, BLACKPINK is the venue's first female K-pop artist to perform.
