Barca set to sign left-footed defender

E extremely reliable Fabrizio Romano, Barcelona are really close to full verbal agreement with Inigo as a free agent as reported by Spanish media.

The club reportedly turned down other options to give priority to the 31 year old.  The deal is 90% agreed but the final details would depend on Barca's Financial Fair Play margin.

It is a decent deal for Barca. Inigo is a left-footed centre back, a profile that Barca do not have in their squad. He is also a Spanish international and has years of La Liga experience. Although he might not start given the strength of the current starters, he is very good as backup, probably better than their current options Eric García and Marcos Alonso.
