I am associated with martial arts since 2002 and right now I am the General Secretary of Assam Karate Association. Ever since childhood I was always eager to play Karate only, I did not focus on any other sports and today I am an organizer. This time one of our player, Manipur Gogoi has been selected for Asian games and another player is going to India camp and other players have bagged 2 gold medals in Khelo India, held in July 2022 Bangalore.

Karate is a sports of prestige all over India but in comparison to that what it deserves in Assam particularly which I think the government should focus on more in terms of number of players in the Federation, quality equipments in order to envision a better future in Karate.
