After first leg (till the postponement of the league), Delhi Capitals eyeing maiden IPL title victory
After 29 matches of the league stage --- when the Indian premier League (IPL) was postponed indefinitely on Tuesday --- Delhi Capitals is leading the point table with six wins. Delhi has played eight matches, registering wins in six and lost two matches. The franchise based in the country’s capital has never won the IPL title.
Their best-ever performance in the IPL was runner-up in the previous edition of the league. They lost the final to Mumbai Indians.
Chennai Super Kings (CSK) is placed second with five wins in seven games. CSK had earlier won the title thrice, 2018, 2011 and 2010.
Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) is placed third with five wins. But on the basis of the lower run rate, they are placed below CSK.
Defending champions Mumbai Indians is placed fourth with four wins in seven games. Mumbai had won the IPL title on five occasions (2020, 2019, 2017, 2015 and 2013).
Rajasthan Royals is placed fifth (3 win, 4 loss), followed by Punjab Kings (3 win, five loss), Kolkata Knight Riders (two win, five loss) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (1 win, six loss).
