At the Lahore High Court continues...
Dr. Yar Mohammad, an eminent physician, Bawa Sunder Singh, my erstwhile partner in tennis at Gurdaspur, Rai Bahadur Nawal Kishore, and Mr. Krishan Datt, Principal of the Hailey College of Commerce, Khan Bahadur Mohammad Naqi, an old tennis star, were among the members of this club.
In the year 1921 I had sold my tonga and purchased my first car, an old model Ford. It was with this car that I learnt driving, so also Gorkha, my erstwhile tonga driver.
During this period I played in the Punjab Lawn Tennis Championship in partnership with Dr. Yar Mohammad. We never won the championship but sometimes managed to reach the semifinals. It was a privilege to watch tennis played by the high ranking players of those days, men of the calibre of Saleem, Jagatmohan Lal, Kanwar Shamsher Singh and a number of international players. Alas, players of the calibre of Tildoa and Koshe no longer play in championship matches and all India tournaments.

DIVERSIONS OF A BUSY LAWYER
IN THE year 1925. I went hiking in the valley of Pangi in Chamba State. I started my hike in the company of Professor Hukam Chand Mahajan of the D.A.V. College. Lahore and Lala Taran Chand Ghau of Nurpur. We started on foot from our village Bhadwar. Our first halt was at Samote in Chamba territory. Here my family held a considerable area of land and some of its members were carrying on money-lending here. From Samote, we went up to the top of the Chuari Pass situated at a height of 9,000 ft. above sea level. We spent a night here in a hut infested with bugs and mosquitoes. They gave us no respite during the whole of the night which was very cold and chilly. We moved down early next morning and reached Chamba about mid-day where we were cordially received by Raja Ram Singh, the ruler of the State. We were treated as State guests and accommodated in a fine guest house. Ravi View.
Here we spent a pleasant time. His Highness took us to the forest for a shoot.
