The National Aeronautics and Space Administration(NASA) is a U.S government agency that handles America's civil space program and is the global leader in space exploration. The Space Age started in 1957 with the launch of the Soviet satellite Sputnik.
NASA opened for business on Oct. 1, 1958. The agency was created to oversee U.S. space exploration and aeronautics research.
At its 20 centres and facilities across the country β and the only National Laboratory in space β NASA studies Earth, including its climate, our Sun, and our solar system and beyond.
It conducts research, testing, and development to advance aeronautics, including electric propulsion and supersonic flight. It aims to develop and fund space technologies that will enable future exploration and benefit life on Earth.
Here, on this group, you'll find all the updates on NASA missions, launches, heavenly images captured by one of their kind telescopes, research and development on future missions, upcoming technologies, international space cooperation and all that captures the life on Earth and beyond!!
