Presidential elections in France determine who will serve as the President of France and Co-Prince of Andorra for the French side for the next several years. Currently, they are held once every five years. They are always held on Sundays. Since 1965 the president has been elected by direct popular vote.
The first round of the 2022 French presidential election will be held on 10 April 2022. Should no candidate win a majority of the vote in the first round, a runoff will be held between the top two candidates on 24 April 2022.
